When my wife and I got married, we received numerous gifts from our guests that included appliances, furniture and even cash. We were even able to complete all the basic appliances and equipments for a family that is just starting. After all of the gifts were opened, we only had to buy a few additional things for my wife and I to start with. Of all the gifts that we received, nothing beats the gift given to us by my wife’s parents. My wife’s parents gave us a sports utility vehicle which we can use when going to or from our workplaces. They even placed car bows on the cars hood and windows to make it appear that it was a gift. It was funny at first because I have never imagined that they would be placing car bows over the vehicle as a means of presenting the gift to us. After the wedding, I told my wife’s parents that their gift is too much and it really costs a fortune to buy it. They just told us that we deserved the gift from them for being good to them. My mother-in-law even said that they initially thought of giving us a house and lot but only changed their mind when they heard that I already bought one ahead of our wedding. We have been using the car for sometime now and all I can say is that we are very lucky and it is an honor for us to have someone who are as loving and caring as my wife’s parents. When things further improve financially, may be we can give them a new car as well complete with the services of a driver.
